Following the loss of their child, Scott and Rana head to an isolated cabin on the outskirts of a forest in Cornwall.
Rana retreats to bed after an argument and Scott heads out for a walk, coming across an aggressive dog that bites him, it eventually calms and leads him to an abandoned newborn at the roots of an old fallen tree, covered in blood, dirt and leaves.
Scott takes the child back to the cabin and hands it to Rana as he attempts to call the authorities only to be hindered by the storm and Rana's strange behaviour.
Rana becomes transfixed on the baby, developing a bond that concerns Scott, her sanity and health declining.
The child grows at an advanced rate, with so much hate towards Scott. Rana follows suit, protecting the child and threatening to kill Scott.
After being attacked by the dog and putting it down, Scott heads out to find help, only for the nightmare to begin as he battles the unexpected dark forces of nature to save himself and what is left of Rana.
