In The Game, Hank returns home for the holidays from the university, and gathers his cousins together for a night of fun at the local bar. But revelations about the others' behavior during what had seemed like high school hijinks now revolt him, and shatter the brotherly relationship they had enjoyed all their lives.
In Hank's Widow, Hank's wife, still grieving his loss in a winter car accident, finds the deed to a house in Belgrade among his paperwork. Unable to afford an apartment in Chicago on her own, she moves to Belgrade almost without thinking, and soon finds herself surrounded with 3 of his cousins that look almost exactly like Hank. All she wants is a quiet place to pursue her writing career. But one man has loved her since he first saw her photo. Will her grief allow him to claim her heart?
