Warren Holston has worked throughout the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, and defense industry for more than 30 years. He wrote the poems of Asylum in the Mind and Peace in Darkness over several decades of extensive travel to more than 84 countries as he served in Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal, the Central Intelligence Agency, and the U.S. Special Operations Command. The poems are based on a lifetime of experiences with dozens of cultures, religions, and belief systems both in peace and war. Mr. Holston is the author of the personal security book Beware the Predator and lectures extensively on the application of personal tradecraft in a digital world.Christy Laneri has more than 25 years of experience as an illustrator, educator, and artist since starting her career in the Central Intelligence Agency. In addition to earning her Bachelor's degree in Fine Art, and Master's degree in Education from George Mason University, she has traveled the world, raised a family, and established an accomplished interior design and installation business. Much of her art is influenced by her exposure to diverse cultures and her life experiences abroad.
