Scramble is an art book showcasing the works of Argentine born Los Angeles based painter Atilio Pernisco with an essay by writer and art critic Pablo Baler. The book is bilingual: English and Spanish.
Pablo Baler is Professor of Latin American Literature at California State University, Los Angeles and International Research Fellow at The Center for Fine Art Research at Birmingham City, University, U.K.. Among other books he's the author of Latin American Neo-Baroque: Senses of Distortion (Palgrave Macmillan, 2016) and the editor of The Next Thing: Art in the Twenty-First Century (FDU Press, 2013). Atilio Pernisco, Contemporary Painting.Pernisco attended the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena receiving his BFA in 1992. He worked as an illustrator and designer for more than a decade for a diverse list of clients.Pernisco also received his MFA in Painting from Claremont Graduate University and was awarded the CGU President's Award for his work. Originally from Argentina, and based in Los Angeles, Pernisco has exhibited his monumental oil paintings nationally and internationally. .
