Emily Pittman is a young and dynamic artist living and working in St. John's, Newfoundland. Her artworks in Someday Homes Fill My Dreams are coupled with her poetic musings about the work, or about the inspiration for its creation. Her words conjure a friendship between two houses that blossoms after they are painted, stilted houses with legs dangling in the water or knees knocking, escape from home down an icy path or retuning from a nighttime swim to a warm, inviting home filled with music. Each poem gives a new understanding to her images.
