Mr. Mahmoud Bakr
The Author was born and educated in Egypt, in both Arabic and English, has a B.A. in English from Ain Shams University in Cairo and obtained a Ph.D. degree in Linguistics from the University of Wales, UK.
He worked for the United Nations Organization and its Specialized Agencies as a staff member for almost thirty years and now works as a consultant with the UN System. He worked in New York, Cardiff, London, Rome and Geneva. He also was a visiting lecturer to World Maritime University, Malmö, Sweden, Manchester University, UK and a lecturer, Faculty of Translation and Interpretation, University of Geneva.
As a translator, he compiled multilingual dictionaries and glossaries.
He is married, has two children and lives in Switzerland.
