The Ebb and Flow of Life is an assortment of poems about real-life events, and also about family, love, joy and heartache; honoring those who have served our country, celebrating joyful moments and sympathizing with those who have experienced tragedy, as well as expressing empathy for the heartaches we often must endure. Quotes and pictures accompany many of the poems, giving them a visual spark and added meaning. Writing poetry is an outlet for me; a way to vent, responding to various occurrences in our chaotic, unpredictable world that we live in today, and also to commemorate special occasions of family and friends. This is my second poetry book; Turning the Pages of Life being my first. You can get a glimpse into my journey as a writer on my blog at sandy.carouth.com.
