Lily has just been placed in a foster care home away from her family. Shes scared and alone and her tummy hurts. Lily is about to meet her court appointed special advocate, or CASA. Lilys CASA, Joan, is a volunteer who will make sure Lily is safe and getting the help that she needs. Joan has brought a special surprise friend for Lily, a friend that will help Lily in many ways. When Lily first sees Chance, the special friend her CASA brings for her, she giggles. His soft fur smells like chocolate chip cookies when it touches her cheek. Soon Lily forgets about her tummyache, and she smiles. She doesnt feel quite so alone anymore.
