The women in many of the stories in The Things She'll Be Leaving Behind find themselves trying to get their footings, preserve their sanity, and survive circumstances in which they never thought they would find themselves. They don't always do it gracefully. Occasionally alcohol or firearms are involved -- just like in real life. In other stories Farnsworth plays with the boundaries of our real world and people's sanity, and injects those stories with engaging doses of bizarre fantasy that tweak the reader's imagination. Against the jagged terrain of contemporary relationships, Farnsworth explores the destructive and divisive acts that construct women's lives and forges an original collection.
