The Wiley Online Library edition of The TESOL Encyclopedia of English Language Teaching is now edited by Hossein Nassaji: Hossein Nassaji is Professor of Applied Linguistics in the Department of Linguistics, University of Victoria, British Colombia, Canada. He is a leading figure in the field of second language acquisition, with teaching and research interests in communicative focus on form, interactional feedback, and L2 classroom discourse. His work has been widely published by journals such as Applied Linguistics, Applied Psycholinguistics, Modern Language Journal, TESOL Quarterly, and Annual Review of Applied Linguistics. His recent books include The Cambridge Handbook of Corrective Feedback in Second Language Learning and Teaching (2021, Cambridge University Press, with E. Kartchava), Corrective Feedback in Second Language Teaching and Learning (2017, Routledge, with E. Kartchava), and Interactional Feedback Dimension in Instructed Second Language Learning (2015, Bloomsbury). He is currently serving as editor-in-chief and co-editor of Language Teaching Research (LTR), a leading journal in the field of language teaching. He has received several awards and prizes for his contributions, including the twenty-first annual Kenneth W. Mildenberger Prize of Modern Language Association of America (MLA), the Research Excellence Award of the Faculty of Humanities, University of Victoria, and the BC TEAL 50 at 50 Award. He has recently been elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, the highest academic honor for the country's distinguished scholars and leaders.
