"A Collection of Thoughts: Poems by Carrie Robinson" contains eighteen poems. The poems encompass themes such as love, lust, heartbreak, friendship, disappointment, responsibility, reflection, isolation and ambition among other themes. Carrie wrote the poetry over the span of seven years, while fast-tracking through her university studies and graduating with a law degree at the early age of twenty one. Carrie entered the working world as a health policy analyst at twenty two years of age where she found herself working with challenging health topics within Canadian communities such as depression, suicide, HIV and other public health concerns. These poems delve into the emotional life of a young person faced with responsibility and overwhelming life events that require a creative outlet in order to work through.
